Katie Packer

Katie is the master organizer who builds and mobilizes political organizations for clients. She participated in her first political campaign in the fall of 1988 as a Missouri college student working to elect then Vice President George Bush. Since then she has worked on campaigns at every level from State Representative to Presidential.

After working on many state legislative campaigns in Michigan, Katie served as the Deputy State Director for the Dole for President Campaign in 1996. Following that, she was Director of the Michigan Senate Majority Communications Office as well as Executive Director of the Senate Republican Campaign Committee when Republicans saw historic gains in their majority.

Katie has worked as a Senior Aide to U.S. Senator Spence Abraham (R-MI) first on Capitol Hill and then as Deputy Campaign Manager of his 2000 campaign. At the state level, Katie was also Chief of Staff to Michigan Lt. Governor Dick Posthumus, going on to manage the 2002 Posthumus for Governor campaign in Michigan.

In addition, Katie spent two years working at the U.S. Department of Energy as a senior advisor to the Secretary on issues related to Science, Fossil Energy as well as Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.

Most recently, Katie worked as the senior strategist for the successful Michigan campaign for Governor Mitt Romney.
